But it's not just that.

Our secret to success lies in the Octave technology, which pampers the “old” tube component with the most modern electronics and makes it sound. Tubes guarantee the exceptional sound performance of our amplifiers, while our newly developed circuits make a decisive contribution to ensuring that the tubes can fully develop their audiophile potential.

Music is not just about precise highs, mids and bass, but about the fun, the emotion in the music that makes the soul vibrate. We claim that Octave amplifiers transport these vibrations and that listening to music with Octave is an unforgettable experience.

The belief that an amplifier must be durable and repairable at any time? Yes.

But it's not just that.

Octave has been building tube amplifiers for well over 35 years that work stably and unshakably with an extremely high statistical reliability (“Mean Time Between Failures”, MTBF). Our models owe their outstanding longevity of over 20 years without service measures (power tube replacement excluded) to well-thought-out control and safety electronics, high-quality components that are specially selected for the respective location and, of course, careful handwork.

The soft start technology, the controlled "start-up", precision stabilization and sophisticated protective circuits guarantee unsurpassed long operating times from an electronic point of view.

From the hardware side, every Octave amplifier is based on high-quality components - from the input sockets to the transformers, which we develop and manufacture ourselves.

At our company headquarters in Karlsbad, Baden, we carefully develop and manufacture each amplifier by hand. Before a product leaves our company, it is checked several times and has to go through a number of endurance tests. Our employees have been with Octave for a long time and are qualified, careful and motivated. And if a service need arises over the years, we can of course carry out repairs directly in-house. We can repair any Octave device, no matter how old it is.

Sustainability and longevity have been our banner since 1968

The belief that a successful amplifier model should be produced over a longer period of time in order to be sustainable and customer-friendly? Yes

But it's not just that.

Our model policy is based on the continuous development of our devices. The best example is the HP 500 preamplifier, which successfully held its own on the market from 1986 to 2018 - not least because this preamplifier benefits from technical progress. Regular product upgrades ensure high value retention and guarantee the owner of an Octave amplifier the highest level of state-of-the-art music enjoyment for many years.

The intensive, personal dialogue with our customers confirms that we are on the right track with this concept. We see numerous test victories and awards from the trade press as recognition of our work, but are also an incentive to consistently pursue the path we have chosen.
